Special Sadhana Intensives
Sunday, April 28, 2013
1:30 to 5:00 pm
Yogaspace offers occasional special sadhana intensives, held on a weekend morning or afternoon. These special sadhanas are several hours long to allow for the time needed to explore your personal practice more deeply physically, energetically and spiritually.
A special series of sadhanas incorporating both movement and yoga nidra meditation will be offered this winter. Each practice include mindful yoga movements, pranayama (breathing), chanting and a fully guided practice of Yoga Nidra. This series will provide an opportunity to either begin or continue your exploration of yoga nidra meditation.

Special Friday Sadhanas: Yoga and Yoga Nidra Meditation
The word "sadhana" (SAH-da-na) refers to a yoga practice that consciously invites connection to spirit. This series of Friday night sadhanas will provide the space for your own exploration to this connection, as well as the opportunity to relieve stress, relax the body-mind, and deepen self understanding. Each two hour class will include mindful yoga movements and asana, pranayama (breathing), chanting and a fully guided practice of Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Fundamentals: Alignment Principles for a Safe Practice
Coming again
(join our mailing list to be notified by email)
This workshop is geared primarily for people starting out in their yoga practice who are wanting to learn or clarify basic alignment principles.
The safety and positioning of three key areas of the body will be examined in relation to yoga postures: the shoulders, the lower back and the knees..
Proper alignment is essential to avoid the risks of injury and to establish a solid foundation on which a practice can grow.
