Couples Workshop: Preparing for Childbirth with Movement & Breath

In this workshop, expectant couples practice movements and breathing to cultivate a greater understanding, enjoyment and confidence in pregnancy, labour and childbirth. Both parents will learn and practice specific tools and techniques to encourage a supportive and positive childbirth experience.

Mindful Saturdays

Mindful Yoga Practice from 1:30 to 3:30 PM (movement class)
and/or
Yoga Nidra Meditation from 4:00 to 5:05 PM ((guided resting meditation/relaxation)
You have the option to register for either or both classes. See below for registration information.

We all can benefit from taking a step back from the demands of daily life, to regroup priorities and energies, and to recharge and restore our inherent sense of Wellbeing.

The intention of this indepth practice is to provide a context in which you can enjoy a deep and uninterupted exploration of various practices - including postures, breathwork, chanting and iRest Yoga Nidra. These ancient practices are approached with a sense of curiousity and openness in order to allow their function as pointers to unwavering Silence and Stillness.

Weekend Retreat for Fertility

A special retreat for women who are wanting to have a baby, and who are seeking practices and a friendly environment to support well-being, reduce stress and to help create favourable circumstances to invite pregnancy, whether such efforts are natural or done with reproductive assistance. In this weekend program you will deeply nourish yourself and engage in yoga practices that will help you to make space for a baby in your life – physically, energetically and emotionally.

In honour of the summer warmth and the sheer pleasure of just 'being' outside, join us for this special annual Yogaspace event... a group practice on the grass at Murray Hill Park in Westmount. Bring just yourself, or bring family or friends, this practice is free of charge and there is no advance registration required.

Special Sadhana

Exploring Meditation in Yoga and Stillness

Yogaspace offers occasional special sadhana intensives, held on a weekend morning or afternoon. These special sadhanas are several hours long to allow for the time needed to explore your personal practice more deeply – physically, energetically and spiritually.

This experiential workshop will be an opportunity to explore meditation in its various forms and expressions... in chanting mantra, in breathing, in movement, in yoga nidra and in silent sitting. We crave greater ease, balance and happiness and a sense of wholeness and satisfaction that can feel elusive... this afternoon will explore how meditation in its various forms can offer insight and be an indispensable part of our yogic journey.
